Substance use disorder is complicated.

We make managing it simple.

Health Plans

The Problem Members Face

The current behavioral health treatment infrastructure is fragmented and expensive. Members often face a shortage of treatment options or lack of evidence-based care.

The Challenge for Health Plans

20.4 million individuals in the US have substance use disorder, yet 90% don’t receive treatment.

35% of patients that use inpatient treatment are readmitted within 60 days. Health plans struggle to steer members to high-quality treatment that is the right fit.

Medicaid plans spend more than $2,000 per member per month on average for members utilizing inpatient treatment.

Wayspring Overview

Care Model

We provide integrated medical and behavioral treatment, in-market care coordination and SDOH gap closure. Our team includes physicians, advanced practice nurses, community-based peer specialists and social workers.

Population Served

All members with any SUD diagnosis in claims in a defined geography. Typically, we focus on an MSA plus surrounding counties.

Economic Model

We prefer to take full medical and behavioral cost capitation risk on the SUD population. This structure aligns our incentives. We only make a profit if we deliver cost savings back to you.

We’re so sure our model is going to work for your patient population, in some cases we guarantee it. That means cost savings for you, and most importantly, better outcomes for your members.

A new standard in recovery.

In the past, SUD treatment fixated on fighting addiction. Today, Wayspring flips the focus, putting patient needs (like social determinants of health) in the foreground.

Your new care team quarterback.

The SUD patient journey is not a simple one. One solution doesn’t fit all. Our care team provides personalized care management, delivering better care for more members.
