An innovative approach to SUD care debuts in Iowa, marking a significant expansion for Wayspring  

 

Nashville, Tenn. July 23, 2024 — Wayspring, known for its value-based substance use disorder (SUD) treatment, announces its groundbreaking entry into Iowa through a collaborative effort with Wellpoint Iowa. This strategic partnership introduces the SUD Home program to Iowa, bringing the state a new dimension of comprehensive, value-based care.  

The SUD Home program by Wayspring is tailored to address the multifaceted nature of SUD. The success of SUD Home lies in Wayspring’s whole-person approach, which blends clinical excellence with a deep understanding of the social determinants of health (SDoH), ensuring a well-rounded approach to recovery. Wellpoint helps improve health care access and quality for 240,000 Iowa residents who participate in the state’s Medicaid programs. Eligible Wellpoint members can benefit from a transformative SUD care approach, centered around a dedicated Wayspring care team. This team is committed to meeting members where they are and crafting individualized care plans that address each person’s unique needs on their road to recovery. The approach involves connecting members to the Wayspring Clinic for comprehensive SUD treatment and essential healthcare services if they need it, as well as care coordination and community-based support. Wayspring works with members to gain access to a broad spectrum of resources, including housing, transportation, nutritional support, legal services, mobile phones, and more.
